Christopher Scott Connell


Scott is a life-long resident of Augusta. He graduated from Curtis Baptist High School in 1988, and later graduated Augusta College. He received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law in 1997. Scott has been practicing law in the Augusta area for over 20 years. He was an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit for 5 years before entering private practice forming the forming the Connell Law Firm. He has practiced criminal defense and domestic relations law in the firm since 2003. The last six years he has practiced with his wife, Kristi. 


Scott is a member of the Augusta Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. He has litigated significant felony cases primarily in the Augusta Judicial Circuit for over 20 years, and practices in both State and Federal Court. Scott attends Trinity on the Hill UMC with his wife of twenty years, Kristi, and their three teenage sons. He is a huge football fan, a Heads-Up certified football coach, an assistant coach for the EDS Panther Middle School football team and has been announcing for Pop Warner, middle school and high school football programs in the area for a number of years. He is currently the announcer for the Augusta Preparatory Day School High School Football program.

Kristi Goodwin Connell


Kristi is a life-long resident of Augusta. She graduated from Augusta Preparatory Day School in 1991, and later graduated Cum Laude from Converse College in 1995 with a double major in Political Science and Biology. She received a Master of Science in Healthcare Policy and Administration from Mercer University in 1997, and she received her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law in 2000. Kristi has been practicing law in the Augusta area for over 20 years. She was an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit for 14 years; four of those years spent as a Chief Assistant District Attorney. She has practiced criminal defense with the Connell Law Firm for the last 6 years.


Kristi currently practices domestic, criminal defense and civil law in both State and Federal Courts. She is also a civil, domestic and domestic violence certified mediator in the State of Georgia, and she has mediated cases in the Magistrate and Superior Courts of Richmond, Columbia and Burke County.


Kristi is a member of the Augusta Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Augusta and she serves on the board of the Mary Warren Home Foundation as well as the Executive Board for Episcopal Day School. Kristi attends Trinity on the Hill UMC with her husband of twenty years, Scott, and her three teenage sons. She is a huge football fan, a Heads-Up certified football coach, and loves to watch her boys plays all manner of sports year round.
